Filthy Animal Pizza #HomeAlone

You ever eat a pizza you made and think… damn I could die now and die happy??

Enter the Filthy Animal Pizza… Why is it called Filthy Animal Pizza? Besides the four pig products, it’s a movie reference.

Did you know this year was Home Alone’s 25th Anniversary?

Yeah I feel old too! But this movie is a classic for so many reasons: heartwarming, cute and lots of gratuitous slap stick comedy shots to the balls!

The Fucking Fab Food Bloggers Strike Again!

This month’s theme is #HolidayMovieChallenge where we pick a holiday movie and make a recipe based on that movie.

Nomageddon made Festivus Beets of Strength with a Tapout Sour Cream Topping from Seinfeld’s Festivus episode.

Bread Booze Bacon made Eggnog Fluff from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

This Mama Cooks made Slow Cooker Smoking Bishop from A Christmas Carol.

Quarter Life Crisis Cuisine made Heat Miser and Snow Miser Baked North Poles from A Year Without Santa Claus.

So Home Alone was my pick… Which I never really thought of as a Christmas movie, but it totally is!

This scene is where I took inspiration.

Filthy Animal Pizza #HomeAlone

I created the Filthy Animal Pizza- A pizza with four different pork products on it: sweet Italian sausage, bacon, pancetta and prosciutto!

I normally do not advocate that much fat and carnage, but what the hell? It’s the holidays. So rejoice carnivores, this one’s for you!

But I had to class it up a little, like lipstick on a pig or one of those high paid call girls that has a college diploma.

To balance out all that salt and fat laden goodness I added diced apples and fresh herbs. And go ahead and skip if if you just wanna keep this carnivorous… But don’t skip it really. It needs some balance guys.

Pro tip: Go to your favorite local pizzeria and buy some of their dough. Yup, they usually sell it. Pizza dough, to get perfect is tricky. Leave it to the professionals and save yourself some time. Ain’t nobody got time for pizza dough!

This pizza came out gorgeous with this amazing pizza dough and it looks so pretty!! It would be an awesome appetizer on Christmas or New Years!
